Laser Hair Removal

Lake Mary Location Only

Enjoy smoothness on any area of the body without the irritation and discomfort waxing and shaving can cause. Lasers are useful for removing unwanted hair from the face, leg, chin, back, arm, underarm, bikini line, and other areas.

Each pulse of the laser takes a fraction of a second and can treat many hairs at the same time. The laser can treat an area approximately the size of a quarter every second. Small areas such as the upper lip can be treated in less than a minute, and large areas, such as the back or legs, may take up to an hour.

Most patients have permanent hair loss after an average of six sessions. Our expert laser technician, Christi has over 20 years experience and walks each patient through a complimentary consultation and gives patients beautiful, clean and lasting results. For the best result, we encourage patients to be regular with your appointments because your hair follicles are all at different stages of their growth, so you want to make sure each one has a chance to get zapped & give the best result.

Before Your Laser Hair Removal Appointment - Take these Steps to Achieve Best Results:

  • You should also avoid sun exposure for six weeks before and after treatment. Sun exposure makes laser hair removal less effective and makes complications after treatment more likely.
  • If you are planning on undergoing laser hair removal, you should limit plucking, waxing, and electrolysis for six weeks before treatment. That's because the laser targets the hairs' roots, which are temporarily removed by waxing or plucking.
  • The area must be cleanly shaved within 24 hours prior to the treatment. Electric razors are not recommended as the hair is typically left too long.
  • Do not tweeze, wax or pluck the area being treated between or prior to sessions. Only shave the area.
  • The treatment area needs to be free from makeup, lotion, deodorant and sun cream and inform the practitioner before treatment starts if you require wipes.
  • The area cannot be treated if it has been exposed to sun within 4 weeks prior to treatment.
  • Fake tanning products cannot be used 3-4 weeks prior to treatment; the area should be thoroughly exfoliated to remove all residues.

Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) is a special type of light, similar to the laser, but with superior performance. Lake Mary Location offers Syneron ELOS E-Light IPL laser, because it includes three advanced technologies that combine to deliver very effective treatments, without sacrificing comfort. Hands, Neck and Face can be treated with IPL to rejuvenate skin and reveal a bright, clear and even complexion.

What is IPL used to treat?

IPL can be used to rejuvenate the appearance of your skin and address a wide variety of skin conditions, including:

  • Uneven skin tone
  • Freckles
  • Brown or red spots
  • Broken blood vessels
  • Spider veins
  • Birthmarks
  • Sunspots

In addition, IPL can eliminate the bacteria that lead to acne, helping to clear up acne-prone skin.

Our Syneron ELOS E-Light IPL laser can target the treatment area with a combination of precise radio-frequency and light wavelengths to produce effective results without harming the surrounding skin. The laser draws pigmented skin irregularities and discolorations toward the surface of the skin before they are eventually eliminated. To treat redness and other vein conditions, the laser is adjusted to target the tiny vessels of the skin, causing the blood to ultimately retreat. Since this unique laser combines radiofrequency and light, the treatment can use a gentle pulse with a lower overall energy output and still achieve excellent results.

Syneron E- Light Fotofacial™ is a proprietary term for a rejuvenating treatment that combines the benefits of IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) and RF (radiofrequency) technologies to treat signs of UV damage and aging. These two forms of light energy work together when applied to targeted areas with a special handheld device.

What issues can FotoFacial treatment address?

Among the many reasons patients choose FotoFacial treatment are pigmentation and UV-damage issues — spider veins, pink and brown blemishes, age spots, and freckling — and signs of aging such as wrinkles, lines, and enlarged pores. FotoFacial treatment can also be of benefit in calming the redness of rosacea, smoothing acne scarring, and resolving melasma (“the mask of pregnancy”).

Syneron E- Light Fotofacial™ specializes in a zero downtown facial rejuvenation treatment areas:

  • Skin tightening
  • Skin rejuvenation
  • Wrinkle reduction
  • Acne treatment
